Kelsey Gordon

Kelsey is going to be a junior at Carroll High School. In her free time, she loves to sing and write. She hopes that one day she will be a journalist for a fashion magazine and maybe even write a book or two.

At the Mayborn Journalism Workshop, Kelsey has learned more about the skills it takes in order to be a successful journalist.

Rachel Whitaker

Rachel is a senior at Irving High School interested in journalism and communications. At school, she is editor of the newspaper and yearbook and vice president of National Honor Society.

She hopes to leave the Mayborn Multimedia High School Journalism Workshop with a better understanding of journalism, specifically magazine writing.

Molly Sullivan

Molly is a creative high school student looking for ways to turn her passions of art and writing into real world careers. Soon to be junior at Paschal High School she participates in swim team, Fellowship Christian Athletes and Students club, and Student Council during the school year and a city of Fort Worth lifeguard and swim instructor throughout the summer, she is your all-American girl.

She excels academically and has been selected to be in the National Honors Society as a reward for her hard work. Her interests include drawing, fashion, hanging out with friends and trying new things.

While exploring the different aspects of journalism, she hopes to succeed at the Mayborn UNT journalism workshop and find her place in the journalism world.

Sarah Sarder

Sarah is an upcoming senior at Plano East Senior High School. She has been on the Panther Prints staff for the past year and will be editor-in-chief of content during the coming school year.

Her interests are journalism and psychology. Sarah loves to read books in her free time.

She is undecided on what major she will pursue in college.

Kayla Davis

Kayla graduated from Creekview High School and will attend UNT in the fall.

Her interest in journalism started when she took a journalism class at her high school. Since then, she has wanted to pursue a career in journalism. She wrote for her high school newspaper and was a yearbook and newspaper editor. The Mayborn High School Journalism Workshop seemed like a great opportunity to further her knowledge of journalism and get more experience with the Mayborn program.

Kayla one day would like to write for a newspaper or a magazine. In her spare time, she works a part time job at a pizza place, spends time with friends, plays the ukulele and reads books.
